Resident Elective Opportunities
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at LHSC, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University offers residents rotations in our multidisciplinary, medical/surgical unit. We are affiliated with busy Obstetrical and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Programs and offer full exposure to skills learning and deveopment. Residents are assigend to an NICU team, attend deliveries, complete admissions on in-born and transferred ill newborns, actively participate in daily bedside rounds, and antenatal and postnatal consults. Residents benefit from daily morning classroom teaching and journal clubs, with an opporutnity to teach and present a topic to the rest of the team.
We welcome residents from Paediatrics, Family Medicine, Obstetrics, Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine, as well as visiting elective residents.
